Sarah and I were sharing a meal together when she told me about the Walkabout Festival and I remember raising both of my hands saying I’m in! It was one of those instant yesses from the heart. The mix of being in nature with like-minded curious people, who have a shared intent to personally grow is something that have been on my wish-list for a long time. I’ve been in coaching, training and facilitating personal transformation for over 15 years, mostly in office buildings and I have been longing to bring this work outside. I believe nature is a huge catalyst for our personal and spiritual growth. Yet many of us, in the midst of modern life are greatly disconnected to nature as well as our own true nature inside of us. Reconnecting to nature sparks our awakening to the source of all life and the interconnectedness and the magic of it all. Reconnecting to ourselves allows us to make better choices and bring out the best version of ourselves into this world.
What’s special about this festival is that it is a perfect opportunity for those who are on the cusp of wanting to move forward and make some positive changes in their lives, but maybe not quite sure yet where to start, as there’s so much offered in this area nowadays. A weekend to explore, learn from others and try out different approaches and workshops is a perfect way to ignite this journey. I’m thrilled to be able to contribute. I’m a barefoot nature girl, with a corporate background at Unilever and solid years of facilitating deep personal transformation, working with individuals as well as groups. I’m a ICF certified professional coach, healer, woman’s group facilitator and mom of two cheeky kids. In 2015, my husband and I moved from Amsterdam to Singapore and we feel grateful for the many amazing people that have crossed our paths in those years. I’m looking forward meeting you on Pulau Pangkil!
